Phlebotomy Technician Certificate Program
The Phlebotomist an integral member of the medical laboratory team whose primary function is the collection of blood samples from patients by venipuncture or micro-techniques. The phlebotomist facilitates the collection and transportation of laboratory specimens and is often the patient’s only contact with the medical laboratory. At the completion of this course, the student will know the skills to enable him or her to functions as a certified phlebotomist nationwide in any healthcare organization. The student will be able to obtain his or her National Credentialing Certificate from the AMT (American Medical Technologist for their RPT).
Training consists of the following: proper venous sites, various vials, colors, and types of veins and techniques for hematocrit (blood draw) withdrawal.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED/Official transcript required (see admissions for additional information)
