Our philanthropy began three years before our company did.
In 2006, before Mount Eagle Ltd existed, its founders were already funding and running community programmes in East Africa. Those programmes are still running.
That order matters. The philanthropy is not a function of the business having done well in a given year — it is the thing the business was built around. It is funded regardless.
